How to travel from Goa to Sabarimala : Road and train routes explained
[#1]Take the NH66 via Mangalore to Enter Kerala. Drive upto Ernakulam
[#2]Before Ernakulam (Kochi), make a route choice. Keep in NH66 to travel via Guruvayour, which will take you to Ernakulam. Or take the NH544 to drive via Trissur and Angamali.
[#3] From Angamali, leave NH544 and take the SH1 (MC road). Follow the any one of the popular routes listed below from Angamali or Guruvayur.
Route 1: Kasragod → 91km (NH66)→ Kannur → 134km (NH66)→ Kottakkal → 75km→ Trissur → 45km (NH544)→ Angamali → 155km (SH1 + other roads) → Pamba [ Distance : 500km]
Route 2: Kasragod → 91km (NH66)→ Kannur → 140km (NH66) → Tirur → 48km (NH66) → Guruvayur→ 83km (NH66)→ Ernakulam → 145km→ Pamba [ Distance : 507km]
[#1][#train]For traveling by train from Goa to Sabarimala, the first choice should be Chengannur. This is the nearest railway staton for Sabarimala. Take a bus further (2hours) to Pamba.
[#2]Some trains end journey at Ernakulam. Take a further train connection to Chengannur or a direct bus from Ernakulam to Pamba.
[#3]Southbound trains in Kerala takes two routes (at Ernakulem) : Via Kottayam and via Alapuzha. Pref the Train via Kottayam. This will pass via Chengannur, the nearest railway station for Sabarimala.
