South Goa Itinerary : Madgaon to the Western Ghats Region

ell, this itinerary is right through the less trodden eastern region of South Goa. Away from the beaches and anything related to it, the Sanguem region represent the 'other side' of Goa.Be it exploring the wildlife sanctuaries, waterfalls or the many ancient sites or plantations scattered around this region , this itinerary will take you to the far deeper regions of Goa, often skipped by the regular tourist crowd.
You can set out from Margao (Madgaon) or the southern part of Cananona area to cover this 'arc'. You should be able to cover this itinerary in 100km+ drive, with a reasonable amount of detours. And of course , this distance does not include the a longer detour to the Dudhsagar Falls . Distance to Dudhsagar Falls is approximately 50km from Margao or 30km off the main itinerary path.
